Reporting Requirements

All Type A and Type B corporations are required to file an annual report with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts by April 1 of each year.

The report must include:

  • the corporation's economic development objectives,
  • total revenues and expenditures for the preceding fiscal year,
  • a breakdown of these expenditures and
  • a list of the corporation's assets.

The Comptroller may also ask for other information required to determine the use of Type A or Type B sales tax revenue. We will use this information to compile the Biennial Economic Development Corporation Report for the Legislature.

Reports can be filed using the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Report tool. Select the “File New Report” bar.

Reports

Biennial reports, and the EDC Data Dashboard are available in the Transparency section of this site.

Information on individual EDCs is also available from the Economic Corporation Report Search tool.
